S. > Recent Status Updates

I am rereading this book for my survey course in adolescent literature. I noticed I gave it 3 stars before. I also noticed it has lots of praise written for it at the beginning of the book. I'm trying to look at it with a new set of eyes but I was not very impressed the first go round for a variety of reasons. Hopefully I am able to look past that.

This is going to be a slow burn as I am following the workbook month to month. September's motto is "everyone can learn!" I am really excited to consider how I can work these lessons in with my students through the month. I noticed a lot of the research and pedagogy in this book marry well with Conscious Discipline... so this is even more exciting for me!

Loving the focus on health and whole foods vs. weight loss.

I should have started reading this earlier. I m goin to set my start date later so I can really be prepared. This whole chapter on getting ready is nice.

Good lord I have been in progress for this book for way too long.
There was a huge hiatus wherein I read many other books for school and work. I promise.

On to Roast Mutton...

So far this is pretty decent. I've read about the history of Tolkien's languages and learned a bit of The Language of Hobbits.

I'm certainly not meeting my 2012 challenge. Thanks, college!

I've had a busy week but I am glad to get back to my book. Arya is my favorite fyi.
