This book feels like it was written by a teenager. I am pushing myself just to get to 50% so I can count it.

Its still intense and amazing and I'm finally over 50% so there's that lol.

HOW am I not even halfway through this, ugh. It's not bad at all. It's good! It's just so intense I have to keep stopping. Send help. I haven't read anything in weeks bc of this book.

Ugh there are no dialogue quotations in this book... I honestly may give it up and not read it. I can't stand when they don't use quotations and the dialogue just bleeds into the rest of it. I read a review that says you "get used to it" but... sigh.

Oh goody, attempted rape. Making a note so I can remember the page for my review when I'm done. (This book manages to be good and also super depressing at the same time.)

This is really good so far, but someone warned me there's at least a few cases of attempted rape and such so I feel like I just keep bracing for it.

Ironically right after I posted that I was having a hard time with the tone, I started reading again and it clicked. This book is SO good!

Having a hard time adjusting to the narration in this. I think because it's first person teenager and I just spent a week off-and-on reading a creepy third person spooky book, lol. I'll get there.

This (white, as far as I can tell) author is... weirdly into reminding us that her character is black. I think this is the 4th time she's mentioned having to use special products on her hair and putting lotion on her "brown skin" so it doesn't get "ashy".

Fun but also a mess? A fun mess. A fun, unrealistic but hilarious and trashy mess? IDK I liked it, although there were a couple things I didn't like. (Not a fan of the way the author handled Isabel's mental health issues, for one. Or Collette's awfulness being punished in the specific way it was.) But all in all a fun wild read.

I've had a hold on this book for WEEKS since I finished the second one, WOOHOO, finally!!!

I just can't get over the fact that she is LIVING in this stranger's apartment without her permission and going through her stuff to find a story and just... thinks that's okay?

Okay, TWO books in a row with awful male characters although at least in this one it's the husband and not the MC.

1/5th through this book and I'm not spooked yet, despite finding this on a list of creepiest ghost books.

Such a nice, light palate cleanser after what I read yesterday.
