Could this possibly be the best book of 2025? Have I already peaked? I want to join their game party so bad!

Well, I don't think I'm a fan of second chance romances anymore.

All the characters also seem to have some issue that causes them to act out or unhinged. Not sure what kind of Canyon trip the author has been on but there's got to be at least one person having fun at some point. The dog is also a useless plot point. Such a weird choice.

Continued... I'm shocked the author thought that in one of the most beautiful places in America was the right place to single out how horrible fat people are. She wrote that they almost flipped in Crystal because of the girls weight. BULLSHIT. I'm 210, ran the Canyon and it was never mentioned that my weight would cause an issue. The character in the book is 237. I'm heavy but the author acts like the girl is a whale

I was so excited to read this book having been on a Canyon trip last October. The reviews seemed like it would be a sure thing of a good book. They were wrong. The characters are the worst part of this book - I'm not sure any of them are having any fun at all. And if I have to read one person talk about how I've characters is 'huge' and 'disgusting' and she calls herself a 'FAT PIG' one more time...

This started out strong but there's so much back and forth between the characters and it's that way for both timelines in the book. It's so confusing.

Maybe a spoiler - but after they both do the deed with other people and then she goes over to his house a 3am because she needs to be close to him and I *think* they are going to sleep together now is just kind of weird and off-putting.

I don't know why I keep forcing myself to read these books, the characters don't even feel like the same ones from earlier books and every scene just feels like a carbon copy of the one before or either very forced and weird. I liked the first book and I think I just keep hoping they will get better.
