Listening to the audiobook I can’t help but think “oooohhhh my god shut uppppp” whenever it’s the girls part. We get it!!!! You’re diaspora and your identity is complicated and you’re Egyptian but you felt more Egyptian in NY than you do in Egypt because you took your culture and background for granted. Be less annoying about it.
