DNF @ 60% - honestly I just stopped caring about with MC

DNF @ 70% - I really tried to like this but I just couldn’t. I love smutty books but this was erotica with the flimsiest/non-existent storyline. Such a disappointment since the premise was good and there was so much the author could’ve done with this!

DNF @ 50% I initially liked both characters but Ms. Kenyon needs to do a bit more research about writing m/m romances. These 2 gorgeous hunks went from manly kickasses to insecure divas in no time. The sex was bad, the relationship shallow, story blah.

The first half of the book was a bit of a drag to be honest, it lacked the momentum of the first 2 books and Katniss seemed to have lost herself in District 13. But then finally she perks up and kicks ass only to fall again once they rescue Peeta. Overall it was a good but sad conclusion to the trilogy. I felt a bit cheated at the end, I wanted more contentment, happiness

It started off interesting but there were too many side characters (cousins) that was just frankly annoying. If the story was shorter and tighter I might’ve enjoyed it more

I loved this book. I’ve always liked Hugh’s character even though he’s a villian, and it was fun to get a glimpse of his backstory. Elara was a fascinating character as well, even though we don’t really learn what kind of “evil creature” she is, just that’s she’s ancient and brutal. They’re both equally matched and their verbal sparring was so much fun to read. Another great read by Ilona Andrews

A completely unique love story! It was so interesting to read a romance from the perspective of someone with autism (Asperger’s). The storyline is very unrealistic though and the way characters just randomly run into each other was a bit too staged. Still it was a cute, fun story. I’m not sure why the audiobook had a soundtrack in the background, I found it very distracting but the narration was good.
