This book is bad. Like so bad. I’m going to finish it. I’m hoping the ending redeems it, so many people on Reddit claimed it was a favorite.
The info dumping world building is lazy and super hard to follow on audiobook. I don’t really understand what was going on most of the time. There are loads of unexplained jumps, then info dump.
There are a few really great ideas in here.

Like this book is bad bad - I cannot believe so many people claim it’s their favorite. I’m 50% through and it’s just every single cliche, badly done.
Idk if I can finish it.

I think this book is giving me anxiety. It’s all hunting and chasing and killing.

The world building is actually fantastic. I mean, there are some big flaws but, I’m enjoying it.

The dialogue is absolute crap. So many cliches in 3% I have listened to.

I mean I HATE a pregnancy plot twist. HATE IT - effectively rendering the soon to be mother into a cloister.
But also she’s gonna die!
