Timing is everything. I started and stopped this book many time last year. Now, I can’t seem to put it down. 🤞🏽
Immersive reading 📖 🎧.

I was initially distracted by minutia and almost threw this in the DNF pile. Needless to say, I’m so glad I didn’t. This book is really good!

The Audiobook isn’t holding my interest. DNF for now. Maybe I’ll get the kindle version and finish later.

DNF - for now. The audiobook just isn’t doing it for me. Maybe I’ll transition to the physical or kindle version.

I’m really surprised at how much I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend the audiobook, read by the author. I’ve always been drawn to Mama Tina’s realness and found myself captivated by her tenacity, resilience and her vulnerability about grief, worthiness and the challenges she endured during her first marriage. Her journey and growth, are relatable and ageless.

So far so good! Ms. Evelyn has captured my attention. Hopefully my mood doesn’t change. 🥴🤞🏾

This is the craziest plot - overflowing with tangents, metaphors and symbolism. Despite 15-years in lockup and a stent in purgatory, aka “the last stop before the drop”, Winter’s shallow, self-centered and ignorant ways persist. 🥴

Part One captured and held my attention. There’s a lot of backstory provided in Part Two isn’t quite what I expected - curious to see how this will all come together.

Reading slump has me in a chokehold. Time to see if switching genres helps. 🤞🏾

Secret baby is one of my favorite tropes and this story is holding my interest so far. I’m drawn to Launz and on the fence about Nye. Definitely could’ve gone without knowing Nye’s stress reliever - very odd. 😑😂
