I don’t know if I’m smart enough for Simon Jimenez books. I’m already confused, and I had the same problem when I tried to read The Spear Cuts Through Water. They are referring to the land like it’s the planet earth, but the sky and the grass are the wrong color and I’ve never heard of the purple plant they are farming. Are they on another planet?

I thought the plot would be a little further along by this point, but I am enjoying Anja’s inner-monologue. T Kingfisher seems to use parentheses for diverting thought trains like I do, and I find it amusing

I should be eating this up, but it’s so long!

Okra is a badass but I think Varg’s storyline is my favorite so far

I’ve got like 200 pages left in this book and I still can’t keep all the names straight 😂
