My library only has this on audio. Lucky for me, the author has a website in which I can see images that presumably also appear in the book. Besides, I'm pretty familiar with most of these characters. Just a couple of hours in, but I've already learned a lot, and it's a very enjoyable listen.

Giving up. I tried listening to it, I tried reading it, and I just don't see anything much new in here. Read Kahneman. Okay, one thing Pinker does point out is that many of the cognitive errors we make in logic experiments are not necessarily irrational. But I feel like that's quibbling.

This is awful. I give up. 80 pages in and let's introduce yet another character's long backstory. So what if this guy has not entered the story in any way whatsoever and we JUST read another character's long backstory. Sometime in the next 700 pages, there can be some action somewhere. Right? Right?

Sure, I have eight unfinished books on my Kindle right now, but for some reason, this 800-pager seems doable.

Listening to this in the car and totally fascinated. I just started grad school, so this is very relevant to me. It's the latest on learning research, and if there is anything at all you want to learn, you should read this.

This is what I open when I can't sleep. It works, though surprisingly, it's actually pretty interesting.

Not so impressed; lots of typos make me cringe every time the author includes a "[sic]" in her source quotes.
