I feel like Bennett and Annie would make a good pairing. Although, will we hear Annie & Mac’s story?

I think it’s tricky because the name is Kira, but she’s pronouncing it the way I’ve heard Keira pronounced.

Kira, in maori, is like “key-ra”, short sound key and with a roll of the r.

The voice isn’t the easiest to listen to, quite an accent. Nice to have a story including Bennett, brother of Jeanie from Pumpkin Spice cafe. Given that he doesn’t live in the town, i’m assuming this is going to be a short timeframe.

I am enjoying the travelling between worlds, the magic, the vampire aspect, the bond and mate stuff, but I’m hoping there is more to the relationship now than the spice it’s been lately, even when they are miles apart?

Dang it, I slowed down reading this book when I realised there was another book coming and it won’t be for ages!!!

Restarted this but in audio. When the ol’ koro says ‘for such a time as this’, i think it sounds more poignant. Having heard the whispers of his tipuna, I think its ’he’s exactly where he’s meant to be’

Picked up this novel, one because it’s NZ and I need to read more local, secondly because it’s a mystery and I don’t usually read crime novels, and lastly because of the blurb on the back “the chin tattoo confirms the victim is maori. the whorls of ink from her lower lip to her chin - the moko - is worn only by maori women. So her ethnicity is a given.” just reads sooo “can’t think of the right word”

I had to read a few pages because it is due back at the library and I need to know whether to put a hold on it. Yes. It fits the Popsugar prompt about a cult. It’s also quite a good read.m so far.

Downloaded this for my 4 hour drive home. Listened to about a third of it, like the different voices. I’m assuming the male rat voice is someone else! lol
