Another installment of Funeral Home Book Club. We are reading IT now. Typical Stephen King bloat, nonetheless enjoyable.

Ah yes double post. I didn’t know the first post worked and tried to recall what I wrote, self-editing as one does.

I have scantily read this year. Linkin Park and Marilyn Manson albums live in rotation in my commute, rather than a book. Perhaps embalming with the heavy frequency that I do and always playing heavy music or Fallout Radio makes me want to continue listening to music in the car. Additionally, my empire of three library cards has crumbled. All have expired and I can only renew one. I haven’t yet.

I haven’t been reading this year. Instead I cycle from Marilyn Manson to Linkin Park albums on my commute. I listen to Rammstein or Fallout radio while embalming. There has been some dabbling in the Red Rising saga because that is the Funeral Home Book Club current series. Plus all of my three library cards have expired and I only have the ability to renew one, and I simply have not done it yet.

I am in a tropical climate reading a gothic horror. Michigan mentioned = 10pts.

Absolutely honored and thrilled to read this. First chapter in an academic textbook down. Nick, this is fantastic.

I never updated my page count. I have no idea what it’s really about. Embalming sold me. Almost halfway and it’s a sweet story.

This book is long AF but so good. I think I picked up the overarching message at the start and it’s satisfyingly concluding.

Honestly engaging. I love the dichotomy of Peter Keating selling his soul for prestige and gain, while Howard Rourke refutes prestige and gain to “keep his soul”. Much smoother read than Atlas Shrugged.
