A disappointing line ‘Dennis hadn’t understood this subject as a boy, and understood it even less as a girl’ - why can’t girls understand physics?!

It’s quite clear the author is American and hasn’t done her research - when Alex and Henry do their interview on ITV’s This Morning (1 point to Gryffindor…) the ‘audience’ laugh at something Alex says. Only This Morning isn’t filmed in front of an audience, it’s just the presenters and crew (I’ll have that point back thanks…)

I struggled to warm to Noah but I think that’s because I was feeling he was distancing himself in the way he does with his family. I found the book heartbreaking, especially with members of my family facing the same battle right now. A grower for sure!

I loved this - I even had to check that they weren’t a real band initially. The documentary style of writing made it quite interesting and allowed for all of the band members and associated characters to speak up and lends itself to film or TV adaptation. I’m looking forward to hearing the songs too!
