Except for some dated vocabulary and British colloquial odds and ends (if you're reading the Constance Garnett translation) it's easy to forget that these characters, their struggles, and the larger philosophical and religious topics being presented were written in the late 1800's. Vastly interesting and endearing characters. Ees gud so farr.
