Skimming through most of this but I've read enough already to count for a book-length. What a brick. Much of this is unreadable (both in the sense of "literature is a copy of a copy and thus evil" and in terms of me being unable to understand any of it) but there are moments of interest. So far I've most enjoyed meeting Hume, Hegel, Lukacs, and Adorno. Linguistics is boring, psychoanalysis is silly, and capitalism...

Man knows how to write short stories, and queer romantic nostalgia-drenched interconnected short stories are my favourite short stories. Off to a very good start. :)

This is going to take me absolutely ages to finish, but so far it's beautifully written and surprisingly funny!
