This book reads like a “gangster” movie from the 50’s. The main character, Lou Fleener, is not your typical private eye. He’s not good-looking but he can dance and he can fight. His right-hand man, Monk, has movie-star looks and a great brain for planning revenge on mobsters in Chicago who have wronged him. The plot is unpredictable and the twists and turns make it hard to put down. I recommend this book.
