Maybe if I buy the Tawny Man trilogy and am forced to look at it just sitting in my room, I’ll get through this trilogy faster idk

The way 100 pages is barely even a dent in this book

The writing is great but I am struggling with some of these povs

I’m very tempted to skip to the Tawny Man trilogy bc I miss Fitz and Co. so bad 😭 I won’t. But I want to. Despite that and despite the slow start to this book, I’m optimistic about this trilogy, especially given that Black Sails is my favorite show of all time. Hoping to not be let down.

I was going to take a break to read some other books between finishing the Farseer trilogy and starting this one but I simply must read more Robin Hobb

I know some people think this book is slow but I’m finding it so fun and silly. Fitz being called an idiot every other page, for example, makes me laugh every time

Okay so Burrich/Chivalry/Patience is very much giving Flint/Thomas/Miranda from Black Sails and I’m expected to just be normal about this?
