3.5 this was a fun read. I loved the Google searches at the beginning of every chapter!!

Extremely well-researched and written.The history was fascinating.Raised in the church as a child in the 80’s and teen in the 90s, I experienced the unfortunate shift that was described in the book.I have grown in my views through varied church experiences in my adult life. I think maybe it’s easier to see the concerns once you’re no longer in it.Our daughters are being given a different experience!

An inspiring story and an incredible testimony.

This was a delightful book that the girls and I enjoyed together!!! Right up my alley. If you love the Penderwicks, this is a book to check out for sure. We will def continue with the series. We giggled a lot and just adored the vanderbeeker children with all their fun quirks.

I am laughing out loud. I am the crazy person outside running alone while laughing to myself thanks to this book.

Read to the girls and we all loved it. Girls are asking to read the next one. Lots of giggling !

3.5. Stretched my thinking. Was so nice to read and discuss this as a small group. This won’t be the last Boyd book I read!

4.5. Really really liked this book!! Highly entertaining! Funny, intriguing plot, & great character development! I enjoyed the way the story was told in a letter looking back reflecting on vivian’s life journey. She became a strong & confident women who found herself.
