At first I didn't like the protagonists (possibly the point), but the writing style has enough snark to hold my interest, and now the first signs of Character Development (™️) are showing. Glad I'm giving this more of a chance

I'm writing page numbers with quotes so I can highlight them when I buy my own copy, and this one stands out so much it brought me to tears and I have to sleep on it right here: "the tired I feel from doing this kind of exploration is different than the tired I feel from being pissed off and resentful all the time." The wind is knocked out of me after reading this sentence.
