I've read this before. I guessed the ending; but it was the man on the bridge that gave it away. So why doesn't it show in my GoodReads records and why did the library let me know it was ready for me?

So why keep reading? I'm almost finished the Mammal book and The Dawn of Everything is too long; i'm going to have to renew it.

P179 mentions vaccination against Small Pox was practiced in Turkey in the early 1700s. Edward Jenner's treatment of 1762 was horsepox not cowpox (although cow's where an intermediary transmitter between horses and humans).

Boring

The Calgary libraries are closed due a cyberattack and the books waiting for me have to wait. In the meantime i found this Starclimer book in the Puzzle Room. GoodReads advises i read it three years ago > it is not familiar at all! Is that good or bad?

I'm finding this boring. It doesn't have the suspense of the Davenport novels, nor the character building.

This book on NDEs is going to be a DNF. It reads like a series of sermons using NDEs to punctuate bibical passages.

Maybe "Golden Dragon" or "Black Dragon" would have been a better title. But then it is not so much aboout dagons, which is too bad as they seem to have more charm. What kind of title is "Fourth Wing?" It is kind of bland. But then who am I to argue with a multi-million seller in a year's time?

Might be more interesting if the story was from the point of view from the dragons.

As i reread this i'm thinking three stars was too high of a rating. It is more about the author's travel than reincarnation and his experiences are not that interesting.

rather depressing reading of all the senseless deaths in futile battles mostly on Austalian losses. In WWI milllions perished and millions more were disabled. There is mention of battles Canadians suffered also: Verun, Ypres, the Somme.

I'm rereading this because i did not remember i had already read it. I was looking for the book with a similar title by Sara Lark (which was not available).
