I saw this book in the Best Sellers at the airport and it has not disappointed. If you’re like me, you’re probably really anxious about the state of the world today, and this book may increase that anxiety a bit, but the author provides philosophical framework around the issues we’re facing in a way that helps the reader begin to visualize potential solutions and dream about the potential of our collective future.

I’m reading a collection of letters one of my ancestors wrote home to his wife while fighting for the Confederacy during the Civil War. It’s strange to understand my ancestor’s perspective on home, family, and the war, but I think it’s important for me to read.

This book is one of the most authentic things I’ve read: from anxiety and addiction to love, sex, and life, these quick essays only seek to vent, and in doing so, have helped me feel like it’s okay to not have all the answers.
