I’m so tired of reading about the struggles of rich people. The laziness of her last minute “oh yah btw your boy is only white-passing” after the first book if just exhausting. Make your protagonists POC or just admit defeat, folks.

I have reached the part in this book where I can barely bring myself to finish it. I know these men died nearly two hundred years ago, and I knew from the outset that they were all going to die - but I cannot bear to read about their deaths and have convinced myself if I don't finish the book, they won't.

I'm usually good at throw-you-right-in, figure-it-out-yourself novels, but I am not ashamed to say that I have no idea what is going on in here and currently don't care to find out.
