Made progress - audiobook is helping. I am trying to go down the googling rabbit hole ... not very successfully at times though.

Home stretch …

Ok I can see the retelling aspects now. It more of a reference than retelling - which I appreciate

I know it Vador - but all I can imagine is Darth. It's pretty distracting

I am not sure the start registered but I do love the book cover so let's see

Last stretch … hoping I can hole up and read today

I am not sure I agree with her economic conclusions which seems to be more statement than analysis as yet. But the historical stories are interesting - if a little basic for me.

Fiction not working at the moment so let’s work on this

Let’s take a break from tomes with another series

After crashing out on a series I've decided to take a break with this ol' reliable series

This banter reads a bit juvenile - not YA as much as not real

And … here it goes. My eyes have started to roll, just a little for now but I can feel it coming for real!

This has been a better start - a little bit of a smorgasbord but not bad

Book 1 wasn't the most successful read ever, but for my BFF's sake (well, really mine since I want her to talk to me) I hope this book wins me over.

Not sure I am really invested in the story. The world is cool and all but the characters are kind of awful... will give it another chapter to see if there is plot here which works for me??
