reading for book club; disturbing and poignant; still relevant 50 years later

this has been sitting on my bookshelf for months. i'm so excited for finally read it

i've listened to so much of lpotl that i can read this in their voices, which is both sad and nice

laughable that ted bundy thought women to be an inferior species when he used the same schtick over and over to the point that it got him caught.

he is not some prolific monster; none of these men are. they are misogyny, internalized or otherwise, toxic masculinity, sexism, racism...all of it right there on the tin, made flesh. they are interesting, fascinating even, but their evil makes them inferior.
