The romance in this book is very concerning. Aric falling for a 14 year old girl, (13 when they met) is wild. This entire story line is validating grooming. He continuously says “I can see the woman she’ll become”. I understand this author wrote this somewhat as a period piece and put the ages the way that time did then tried to justify it. There would’ve been nothing lost if she made the girl 18 years old.
