Took a good 100 pages for this to get good, but now it is hitting its groove

This is why I love historical fiction. No one talks about the women who participated in WWI. A great untold story.

Almost quit reading, but finally picked up around page 120

The politics of school popularity were baffling.

Wow. Takes some getting used to the choppy style, but this is a really captivating book. Have some ideas about what happened, but not sure if I am correct.

Just starting chapter 6. Wow. I really wasn't sure about this book in the first 2 chapters, but it has completely sucked me in. So many layers.

I'm just starting chapter 4 and this book is so strange and slightly disturbing. The behavior of the parents is so unlike anything else.

The best in the series so far!

About half way done with this book and I am completely sucked in.

The story is starting to lose me in chapter 7. Taking a short break and will probably come back to this. Still curious if my 9 year old will enjoy it.

Most of the book takes place in 1911, but I just finished the chapter where the world trade towers fell. I can feel myself back there. I hope this story comes together in the end, if not, the whole 9/11 thing will have been a painful, unnecessary experience.

This is a wonderful book so far, although reading about 9/11 is still difficult for me. Most of the story takes place in 1911 right now, and the history is fascinating.

Why did it take me so long to read this book?!?!?
