If we cut the repetitive dialogue and inner thoughts, we'd have a good 50 off and I'd be happier. I'm only a bit annoyed, and it's because I really like this book's world and mysteries, so the constant hammering on information we already know and dumb conversations irk me that much more. Let me enjoy you, book, gosh darn it

Not that the title Inquisitor could ever inspire trust or anything good, really, but Torsten is such a massive asshole and a dumbass at the same time. Pick a struggle! Most characters here suffer from some level of idiocy tbh, and only Fenn has a justification for it

I wish the dialogue and inner monologues were handled better, but I really enjoy the creatures and overall descriptions of the environment and buildings

Ah Gideon, the one character in this series who doesn't give me a headache. I'll throw in Max too, though he hasn't shown up much.
