So far this book has been incredibly boring with so many sermons from Kordas that I’m fighting to stay awake. There’s so much description of every little detail that this feels more like a school history text than a fantasy book.
I expect a lot better than this from Lackey plus for the price of this e-book I should be devouring this with excitement.

Why do I feel like I’ve read this plot in a pre ious In Death book.
Seriously how long has Peabody been wearing those pink cowboy boots? They must be falling apart by now and she still worries about her weight, poor thing.
It’s lovely to see Eve and Rourke interact with fondness for each other, just like always. Wish there was more appearances secondary characters in the story though. Good to see Galahad tho.

I’ve decided not to read this book. I’ve already read the Rannoch series and I find I don’t like Malcolm’s character in this version. I know I’ll be missing things but I’m willing to in order to forgo the extra knowledge.

This is a very quirky book. A bit too much like Pratchett or Fforde for me so I probably won't finish it. I think many people would enjoy this but it's too silly and seems disjointed to me. But at least I have it a try.

Just not my cup of tea. Waaaay too much math in the first couple chapters, made my head hurt trying to figure it all out. It was like reading a textbook of word problems-ugh. I plodded on until I read the part where he meets Sydney finally. And she's just downright weird, all brainiac one minute and then a split second later, pirouetting like a small giggly girl with inane conversation. Double ugh.
