it's probably more noticeable bc i now know the author is 🗑 but there are some big plot inconsistencies over the series around the properties of various objects

I love this series but WOW such a relief after that Bolton nightmare to read something written and edited by professionals!

Author just referred to Yemen as "a Britsh obsession" and seriously FUCK THIS GUY.

So if any other high-level WH ghoul keeps the menace from doing whatever latest doom whim, it's JAMMING! THE WHEELS! OF! DEMOCRACY! but if Bolton does it, it's just great and necessary.

In most political issue/policy books I've read, the author does admit to other opinions and views, and makes some attempt to summarize it. Not Bolton - he's right, you maybe are a source for North Korea and/or are a squishy peacenik.

This is so badly written and the author is so arrogant I have to take breaks ever couple of pages.

i did not and would not purchase this book. i borrowed from the library. it is a loathsome book by a loathsome person about loathsome people.

It continues to irritate me that so much stuff is either incompetence or lack of knowledge by assumption. I mean, another take is she ran around Africa in a pith helmet because that was exactly the message she wanted to send.

Time for the annual hate read about garbage people!

This is the last of the ten Kate Daniels books (I read them as they came in at the library: 1-5, 7, 6, 9, 10, and now this one (the eighth). I'll be sorry to finish them and will probably read the novellas and Kate Daniels world books.

The only author Beverly Jenkins mentioned in her New York Times interview that I hadn't read, and so far it does not disappoint.

1. Christopher Pike is interviewed and seems like, just a great person.

2. OMG I did not make up/misremember "The Girl in the Box"! Apparently a lifelong memory of it is a thing of discomfort to many Gen X women who read!

this is really too good, and we are still at the mid/early 80s books that were a little before my 5th grade heyday.
