Interesting concept to have the protagonist be a synthetic human. I was intrigued. I was disappointed when it gets loaded with lot of human memories, and a lot of human patterns of thinking. So he/she isn't so synthetic after all.

After about 100 pages , the plot takes a turn that seems like a setup for another Star Trek.
The characters didn't intrigue me.
Did not finish.

He reviews how space could be developed at an enginering level e.g. he gives his ideas on how to make cheap rocket fuel from moon dust and who to sell it to. It is all plausible. I checked. Every paragraph has an idea that could be used in a biz proposal for starting a company someday.This is not a novel, or a science tome. It is written like the brain dump of a Venture Capitalist.

Could not finish. Too much fantasy for me.
