I fear I spoke too soon. Absolutely average and same-same story telling. Feels like teenagers standing around talking and hitting things. I thought this was going to be epic?

Already happy that the FMC is 30yrs old and not some young twenty something! Not that there is anything wrong with being twenty something, but it’s so rare to have someone 30+ in these kind of books.

This series had so much potential, it’s a great fantasy romance kinda like Fourth Wing but the problem is, the books are so short I just don’t care. I don’t care about the world, I don’t care about the people we’re trying to save, and I don’t care about the main character. The first book should have been 2x as long imo lol

Sorry why has the author already explained in excruciating detail through internal monologues (snooze, give me some credit as a ready to pick up on things as we go) exactly why they are both in need of the inheritance and therefore made the book entirely predictable feeling? Like I’m bored…

Still don’t know why we’re rooting for Brodan. Maybe it’s just cause I hate second chance, miscommunication etc but he’s an ass and I’ve yet to see one justifiable reason why Roe should be back with him.

I really do prefer Daisy’s books. Magnolia and BJ are kind so superficial and even though I get that they’re on their own journey, it’s kind of hard to care about them? Like I care about Magnolia and Bridget. I care about Daisy and Christian. Hell, I care about Magnolia and Julian. I just don’t care that much about Magnolia and BJ??
