I already love this book so much. I’m sad that my first time reading it is already more than half over. I haven’t read ‘Emma’ in over a decade so I think I’ll read it again soon after this. I love the insight and perspective ‘Miss Bates’ adds to Miss Bates and the rest of the main players in ‘Emma.’

Hoping the twist/solution is different than what I am guessing. This book is okay but the relationship between the FMC & her husband feels very…plastic. I’m confused by some of her choices, especially telling her husband she’ll wait to tell him about something at a specific restaurant when they go in a couple of days instead of telling him about it that night in bed when he asked/in the morning. It’s weird.

Accidentally spoiled myself a little when I got confused about a character and looked up the character list because the POV where that character appeared didn’t have them for a while, but I’m still having a good time!

Definitely shades of the Slenderman stabbing in here. I’m enjoying it though and I have my suspicions about the truth

Omg. Y’all. This book is. So. Cool.
I’m so glad it’s long because I don’t want it to be over yet! To me, the horror elements are not the type to give you nightmares, it’s more the kind that makes you go “whoaaaa okay that’s wild!” I wish I could be more descriptive without spoiling. But I honestly feel like this is going to be my favorite book this year.

Had a sudden need for a medieval quest but didn’t want a heavy fantasy/world building and this is hitting the spot! This *is* billed as a horror novel, which I have no problem with. So far the elements I’ve seen have been along similar lines as Frankenstein, but I’ll update if the horror ramps up as the story goes along.

I have zero guesses at this point and I love it. At first I expected the whole book was going to take place over a day or just a few days, but I am enjoying the time jump and the hurdles the characters face because of time having passed. Very excited to see how this goes. I want to finish it tonight but I’m sick so I might have to wait until tomorrow.
