I've been enjoying slowly tackling this book. I read about a chapter a night and they're perfect little nuggets before bed.

These main characters are so annoying and the spice is weirdly out of nowhere for a thriller

A whole bunch of nothing has happened but that’s ok.. I think it’s building up to a well done character arc (I hope at least). It’s just taking me forever to get through. Audiobook is not the greatest either 😮‍💨

This could be an audiobook issue… but this reads very YA. I was expecting something a bit darker and it’s a bit silly. Perhaps just how the narrator reads Meddy and her age at the start of the story

a moment where I was listening on audiobook. had to pause. go grab my physical book and make sure I was hearing properly.
