She was annoying. I don't know why, but this book did not do it for me.

More like a one-man show for me. Not enough interaction with other characters/scenarios. Plus Howie‘s inner monologue became annoying, and I found myself fast forwarding through most of them.

Not a good story.

UGH! The "love triangle" that Rosie has in her mind between herself, Ethan, and Tom is SO annoying!!!!!! It is taking up too much space in this story. So much so, that I find myself skipping over her inner monologue every time she starts pining for Tom! You're a middles-aged woman with TWO grown kids! Stop acting like a luck struck teenager!!!!!!

Meh. This is less of an Alien invasion, and more of the tactical maneuvers to deter their assault. It's all about the Asset, and how he was "engineered" to fight the invasion off. Where are the Aliens? I'm listening to this on Audible (10+hours), only 3 hours left and STILL no Aliens! Sigh, was hoping for more excitement................................

1/14/20: I'm loving the twist with the zombies from the train (no spoilers) ;) . It is a fresh take on the normal walking around, moaning kind.

I'm NOT fond of the kids in the graveyard stories, pretty sad. We'll see if Kevin can help them out.

05/28 ***SPOLIERS***The Partials war ended 11 years ago, & the Gov't has been mandating every female over 18 conceive to help repopulate the human race, and a 16y/o intern discovers that they are ALL carries of the disease that wiped out most of humanity?! You ALSO want me to believe she is the only one who had sense enough to test the Partials to see why they're immune, and we're not? Going so far as to capture one?
