Apparently our main beefcake is secretly a Disney princess on the side. Wild animals will just flock to his arm and not startle at all when he makes a move to break their neck. If it was only that easy.

Never once did I expect a Tarzan reference in this book. Can't help but grin a little

I see this book isn't pulling any punches. Holy crap this is some emotional intensity.

This book is so good

This is such an interesting mix of Santa/Krampus/Norse mythology all taking place in modern day small town America with gangsters and crooked cops.

This book has failed to capture my attention. It's not bad but I'm nearly halfway through and I'm not sure what the great conflict is supposed to be.

I'm pretty sure that the Gray Mouse Tavern at the beginning of the second book is a reference to Fafhrd and The Gray Mouser by Fritz Leiber. Or I could just be a giant nerd and seeing things that aren't really there
