okay i'm invested

enjoying the story so far, just waiting for it to pick up a bit and get to The Academy - the world and magic is very interesting so far - i’m trying to take it slow with this one so i’m understanding/not missing anything

need a win SO bad i’m finally starting this. THE highest rated book on my current tbr and i’ve seen both people who love high fantasy to people who don’t usually read high fantasy praise this to no end. here we go……

okay so here’s the thing….i know i’m only 13% in but the way people talk about this book i expected to be obsessed from page 1 and i’m feeling very lukewarm at the moment. i’m obviously going to keep reading and i’m confident i’ll feel differently when i really get into the story but those are my early thoughts 🥲

i was enjoying this sooooo much the first half but it’s losing me a little bit on part three. i’m hoping the way this story wraps up brings it back up
