Guys, this book is making me all nostalgic 😥 it's been very difficult (I would say impossible) to make a living from translation these days, at least for me. There's nothing I would love more than to work as a translator forever, but the arrival of the AI ruined it for many of us (another form of imperialism, isn't it?)
This really hits home.

Tres doritos después... NO, RUE!! 😭

¿Quiénes son los patrocinadores y cuándo se supone que van a hacer algo? Katniss casi se muere dos veces y no le han dado nada. No entiendo eso. ¿Quién patrocina qué? ¿Están esperando que mueran para dar regalos?

Otra vez la chica "rara" que no es consciente de lo atractiva que resulta para todo el mundo. ¿Dónde lo habré visto antes? Tal vez en todas las novelas para adolescentes. Una fórmula infalible.

Lo bueno es que a ella nunca le importó cómo la ven, va directo a la yugular: el colonialismo, el capitalismo salvaje y la desigualdad social.

Me está gustando bastante este libro, en especial los capítulos sobre High School Musical, la razón principal por la que decidí leerlo en primer lugar.

Hace mucho quería empezar este libro, me tiene intrigada.

Este libro es un desastre. Pero así es mi querida Colombia: un completo desastre.
