I miss this book❤️

Super riviting and very well paced while giving enough details that even someone who hasn't learned much of the battle history can still understand.

I find them especially interesting considering they don't have the same level of friends/ family that most survival groups seem to portray. In a lot of ways they feel like coworkers on a mission trying to survive a devastating situation.

All I've learned is Brooke's a b*tch. If she wants to whine and complain about everything she can sit down in the forest and wait there until nobody shows up for her. Like, by Brooke

This whole thing is whack... I'm confused, upset, and mildly intrigued considering the main characters is amusing but the plot is all over the place and I would love to have the game lore which is just as likely to be extremely confusing

It's... interesting. The notion of people being melted down into a new creature with a collective intelligence is pretty cool, and book gives off an ominous vibe, but half the plot just leaves me confused despite some great imagery in it.

I'm amazed at how amusing this is? Even if there's not a whole ton going on, the blend between the emotions of the characters aboard the ship, those who are on Earth and the mystery (plus the mild amount of action that comes with it) make the first book intriguing and amusing the whole way through. Time to start the second one!

I'm enjoying this a ton more than I thought I would. The characters are intriguing and diverse, and the plot and background that goes into describing the ship and how everything came together is super detailed and overall very amusing. I'm excited to see what comes next.

The dynamic between Etta and Nathaniel is so refreshing. They have a nice balance where the two can play with one another and not make their relationship feel as if they are any more than partners in more than one sense of the word. It is both a romantic relationship and a common need for a goal to be completed in complex circumstances.

It's weird how usually I hate the Romeo and Juliet romances, but these two have a very real feel to them. They know they have limits and push them despite the ending outcome.

Lazlo and Sarai's relationship is the damn cutest thing, and they have such real faith that they can trust one another whole-heartedly. It makes me soooo happy.

Tommy's mother is so cute and resolute going back for her GED and still giving Ozzie a life lesson. Also, I feel so bad for Ozzie. No one ever believes him, and yet they all feel like it's his fault for pulling away. Plus once he meets Calvin who believes him they all get mad that they weren't chosen. Ozzie's life is falling apart, yet no one really seems to place his existence in sight.

Honestly the book gives off the entire feeling of being very surreal. While many of the characters have rather sad experiences in life, the MC makes it all seem to melt away since many of the things that are real don't feel real with the fact that Tommy is gone.

I can literally feel the plot turning to the generals being betrayers/hiding something from the public about the Krell, and her father originally wanted to stop them and was outcasted/killed when he tried to make it public.

These stupid c*ckblocking ships, so annoying, just let my CP occur happily.

Bloody hell they're so cute! Especially when she decides the climb into the his bunk in the middle of the night so they can sleep curled up into each other *squeals*
