I like the POV, Reynie's view and thoughts mingle nicely. The characters and their flaws/strengths are really quirky & interesting and the plot is building. I started this book long ago but never finished. I think the pacing is slower than what I'm used to but this read thru I'm enjoying the slow-build.

Different levels of fears, 3 to be exact. Educational and analytical approach instead of psychological...yayy!

Written for kids but reading as much for Voice as for content!

One paragraph here that takes us out of present moment, but it totally works because it has key bits of character personalities, i now have a clear pic of Poppy.

Feeling a bit ashamed that i have not read any of the Roald Dahl books just referenced, but i did add to my Goodreads list.

I adore how the main character's Voice just shifted as he got into his 'character's' head, well done!

Page count off but what's bugging me is I am resisting the journal writing exercise...how can I be a writer if I can't do this simple task. Ugg. Part of it is I am either reading in bed or first thing in the a.m.... No writing vibes then. Might have to get a hard copy of this book...I notice reading fiction in digital form is no prob but NF I have gotten stuck on...
