This book is HEAVY in abstraction. It’s so easy to get lost. It’s kinda cool sometimes cause you get the see the clever way he goes about filling the empty gaps left in Hume’s Treatise using logic. It really gives you such a strong appreciation for Reason. Hope I can get through this lmao. It’s so difficult, man.

I’m am left boggled thinking how anyone could have ever thought up of these things, and how one can have reached these conclusion with such machine-like precision.

Wow. Amazing philosophy. The arguments are so beautifully constructed and logically rigorous. I’m still not entirely sold in some things, and I believe the intro said something about Einsteins theory of relativity having disproven some of this. Who knows. More than anything I’m interested in how this fits into his ethics and arguments for God. We’ll see I guess. Excited.

My god this stuff is impossible to read. I took a break to read some other stuff because this was getting to dense and now that I’m back it’s gotten infinitely harder. I completely forgot what all those signifiers mean. I never knew Marx would be so scientific when I started reading this stuff three years ago.

What is there even to say? still dry. It seems he's trying to get to a point, can't be too sure, but it is taking a long time. He keeps re-explaining the M-C-M formula in new ways again and again. He's expanded it now into three separate formulas now, it's getting kind of funny in a way. Not much to say.

A deeply dark book with an outlook on life that is so tragic and bleak that I have to pause reading it for the sake of my mental health. Someday in the near future i hope to finish this and be done with it.

Finished the Symposium. It was very funny, but I can't say I got much out of it. It's all old and outdated philosophy that really is not relatable anymore. I expect the rest of the book to be much like this. Oh, well. I'm only reading it out of obligation to the classics. On to the Republic next.

I’m in the Symposium and they’re talking about love. Not something I’m particularly interested in but I think the way they use rhetoric is neat. Socrates is a really cool…character?

I hate to be dramatic, but this is everything I’ve been wondering about and asking in my recent interests in political philosophy. It’s going everywhere I like. It fulfills me. So far. It’s so exciting!

Still got a hundred more pages ahead of me. It’s a bit of a slog, she’s just summarizing what she’s said so far. Very long book, very repetitive. Wish she’d go more into more interesting parts of her theory, like the idea that sexuality is a construct. Oh well. I guess I’ll have my final word when I’m done.
