David is starting Nowhere
1/2 way through and wanted to remember:
That this has all the makings of a good Stephen King novel about missing children.

But some key plot holes (which there are many)

Very early in the book after a gruesome discovery in the woods Chief Rachel calls her husband and orders her to get her children home from school early - with no explanation - and no explanation EVER comes.
Just the start of basic miscues.

Getting there. It’s long. It’s repetitive, but has a familiarity to it - Garp in particular.
Taking a break. Will be back!

Was so excited to receive a NEW JOHN IRVING book from Simon & Schuster and NetGalley.

BUT 900 PAGES???

Can I commit to 900 pages?

Well, I read IT (1138 pages) and The Stand ( 1152 pages) by my “constant author” Stephen King.
But those books had a killer clown and Randall Flagg!

Ok, here we go … lets see how far I get with this “advanced reader’s copy” before pub date October 18!

David is starting F*ck Off, Chloe!: Surviving the OMGs! and FMLs! in Your Media Career
You’ll immediately know if this is a book for you based on your reaction to the 1st line: “Chloe is the embodiment of every entitled twenty-something who enters the media world and wants a trophy for coming to work.”

Offers terrific planning tools to be a philanthropist - at any level.

Perfect gift for my clients this year for sure.

A fascinating read - well balanced with horrific details of wartime. He takes no sides, presenting the Egyptian and Israeli viewpoints. It still amazes me to this day how "little Israel" defeated the Arab countries around it. A riveting story which is very relevant today.
