Good scholarship so far but the citations system (and lack of citations for information that should bear a source) is frustrating. The citation system is difficult for follow and may best suit a casual reader rather than anyone deeply interested in the research.

Incredible. I come to this book as a fan of the TV show. Reading the first book, I was not enchanted with Lestat’s character immediately as I had been when watching the TV adaptation. However, by the end of the book, seeing his desperation when pleading with Louis warmed me to him. Of course I had to continue on to the book about him specifically!
