Immensely enjoying this reread. Book 8 is definitely my second favourite of the entire series! Being set in Devon is wonderful, since I love Devon so much myself and then all this talk of paleontology. What more could I possibly want?

City of Glass didn't have a rating either?? That's wild to me since this was always my favourite book of the original trilogy. So far that's still the case.

Also as a side note, I want to live in Idris. Desperately. I feel like that's where I'm meant to live. I don't even hate the idea of living in a city if it means living in Alicante, and it takes a lot to get me to actually like the idea of living in a city.

As I've gotten older I've started to appreciate the circle backstory more and more. So starting the chapter "The Werewolfs Tale" is incredibly exciting.
Also reading this with the movie playing in the background for ambiance? 10/10 I highly recommend!

Okay...I want to go to the drive-in and watch the first four scream movies all night long. That sounds like such a fun date idea!!

I might be in a reading slump and taking forever to get through this book, but that should in no way reflect poorly on the book. I am absolutely loving it and it's probably going to be a five star book by the end. I just can't focus on anything lately 😭
