We should be empathetic but it’s not my child’s responsibility to fill the gaps in someone’s else life

She’s talking about the unfair treatment of minorities (leading to crimes) but doesn’t talk about the affect of family structure in the home on children and teenagers as they grow up

Our motivation is what God will accomplish is the not yet

Our sorrows, failures, and afflictions are sacred not shameful because they tell the truth about our need for redeeming grace and mercy. These things Christ alone can give.

That’s the danger of being led by empathy rather than truth filled loved you latch on to what sounds and feels good, rather than what is good. Often to the detriment of the very people you’re trying to help

Outrage is considered the measure of virtue

In giving weight to those who shout loudest-who are more often than not the least informed social media strengthens allegations and weakens facts. It emboldens prejudice and blurs the line between accusation and truth.
As a result, the presumption of innocence is no longer so inviolable as it once was, or as it should be if we want democracy to survive.

Though most of us have opinions on controversial subjects without knowing all the facts, airing them among friends is unlikely to affect or influence the subject. The world of social media is radically different.
Owing to the vast numbers of reachable people on platforms such as Instagram, uninformed opinions can affect a subject.

After whining about a health professional being a trump supporter and supporting other conservative groups he says this 2 pages later

“It also taught me not to make assumptions about people. It's never about wealth, religion or politics. It's always about the individual. Always.”

Dude. That applies to everyone. Or no one.
