I knew this part was coming and it’s even more lame and desperately predictable than I thought it would be. I think there was another pathway that would have made this ending more interesting, but no such luck.

I’m just not enjoying this book as much as the last one. The vibe is just off. Max was so supportive of Cole in the first book They are best friends, as close as brothers, but Cole is just straight up rude to Max. He’s short and dismissive and seems annoyed by his presence. Where is the fun witty rom-com? So far the vibe is a complete downer. I need things to lighten up fast.

The narrator has lost a lot of their charm without the rhyming Christmasy verses. Now it’s just kinda of a weird unnecessary intro to the chapter.

This book needs to be made into a Lifetime Christmas movie.
