I’m just slightly irked by Davis’ inability to recognize queerness in this book. Richard Hunt, an openly gay man, died of AIDS, and the text refuses to recognize the gender of his “partner.” It feels just dumb, considering how in depth this book is with every person’s personal biography.
Like, this book is about how Sesame Street embraces diversity, and Davis conveniently leaves out any mention of queerness...
