My mom flew out today and I’m super sad but this is turning out to be a decent distraction. Workplace romantasy (?) where eponymous Villain is like a sexy Lucifer dexter mashup lol. Con: much exposition about ppls bodies. I think the red sprayed pages are giving me a consistent placebo high tho which is nice.

I get the impression strong sexy jawlines are an important feature of this novel.

FINALLY. This was a long read in a post-grad school and also probably severely depressed (lol) reading slump. A lovely read that lends itself well to week or two week long pauses for an ultimately heartwarming and satisfying end.

“Then this phantom second self blew through her and rose out of her and dispersed into the mist…” — shivers

Juicy.

I. Am. So. Happy. All other books on pause.

Yooo dragons!! Finally!! Let’s light this place up.

“He was […] shaking while she spoke. His eyes were popping out of his face. He kept cramming more and more of the tort in his mouth.”

Listen Dorothy is a genius.
