It's alright - though lengthy chapters of characters speaking to each other in exposition drags it down and slows the pace.

I'm pretty horrified with the labour practices in the games industry - I can appreciate how hard these folks are working, and how difficult it is to predict how long a game will take to make, but yeesh, these stories are horrifying.

Decided to finally jump into this monstrosity of a series. It's not bad so far. Suffers a bit of the grim & gritty protagonist "Who is the best at what he does and what he does isn't very nice," but I guess that wasn't as much of a trope at the time of writing.

Quite good. Wish it was a bit more in-depth.

I've given up. It's a bad read.

I'm a bit burned out on autobiographies (I'm on my 5-6th this month), so I'm shifting to something else, but this is a fun read.

This is a slog. It's so poorly written...

Absolutely dreadful. I got through 24 pages before I put it down for good. A series of conflicting pseudo-psychological judgements and recommendations.

I'm enjoying the history and scientific parts of this book - but can't help but roll my eyes at the constant moral judgments made about modern life through his exploration of early humans.

I cannot get through it. The writing is just SO BAD. I keep trying to push through, but it reads like a 13 year old's blog.

Finding this one a slog compared to his other books. Maybe I just don't care about the characters...and never much cared for psychology.
