this one has grown on me! it does feel a little bit like the author realized halfway through that their premise wasn't really working to the benefit of their characters but couldn't quite figure out how to amend it when probably starting over and reworking the premise was the real solution. obviously #TeamOphelia because I am as ever Team Shrew.

I don't often find myself having to stop in the middle of a library book I'm reading so that I can buy the book. Even with books I really like or love I just add them to the list of books I'd like to have eventually and keep going, but when 30 pages in I was stopping to write down an incredible passage from nearly every single page, I knew that's what I'd have to do. hot damn!!!!

after reading a slow slow slooooooow burn as my last romance novel, I think I physically cheered when the male protagonist took his shirt off within the first fifteen pages. and I will always be a slut for a couple having to hide out from a storm together.
