Ernest has always been a bit of a buffoon. Lovable but derpy yet also good at eventually solving the mystery and thus previous books have been enjoyable! Struggling with this latest. It feels like he’s at Will Ferrell levels of ridiculousness, getting worse with every passing chapter, and that’s just not a good thing. 😂 I kinda want to DNF it. Do I care enough to plod through the rest? 🤔
