Life has been lifing, and today was the first day in a couple of weeks I was able to read. I feel some balance has returned.

I’m struggling with this one. I’ve always liked Brooke Shields, but what is the fine line between memoir and being overly centered about oneself? There are stats peppered in to bring home how misrepresented middle aged women are, but somehow that seems secondary. Maybe if this had been edited more, I wouldn’t feel this way. Also, am listening to the audiobook, which she over eagerly narrates.

Poignant and reflective. Truly worth a read/listen, but not if you’ve suffered recent loss. I’m enjoying this despite tears while listening.
